Sean O’Mahoney

This character follow the Character Creation rules from Fate Core, including the specific things from Nest.

Created in a “Might is Right” kind of family, Sean had grown up as a bully, and so it was his Nest alter-ego, as the Bad-Ass Ogre Warsinger from Epoch, a barbarian that had all time to fight for what he liked, either by gold, glory, honor and (sometimes) even for goodness. More than a time he fought against heroes, to be won and fight aside them, by siding those stronger than himself and learning the importance of doing the right thing.

In our world, however, he grew up bullying all guys from neighborhood, till his old school gave his family a “last resort” solution for his aggresiveness: he was sent to military college, where he suffered a lot. Nest time was the only thing that saved him to turn himself into a psychopathic trigger-happy soldier. He was still a fighter, but he develop himself some code of honor and duty.

That was till 9/11, when Bin Laden had turned the world bonkers.

Sean was into one of the many mission to catch Bin Laden in Afghanistan, when a mine had exploded the Hummer where he was. He was in the turret, so he was ejected from it by the explosion and the some of the mine shrapel had hit him. He still had time and consciousness into the sharp pain to fight some of the tangos that placed the mine into the road and save some of their group while they waited for an extraction team to rescue them. He did all this in the ground: in the chopper, he was knocked out by a high-dosage morphine injection.

When he woke up, he had noted he could not feel his legs: his spinal chord was hitted and he lost his movements into the legs. He was honrably discharged, even with some medals, but the money was going out very fast with his treatment. Even worse: he could not take another job because he could not work into a wheelchair. That was until a guy from the old times, one of the nerds he thrashed once in a while, had offered him a job as a User Experience Analyst. He did well learning his new job, but sometimes he can’t work okay, as the nightmares from Afghanistan still haunts him, rendering him useless during his Post-Stress Trauma Disease surges. And sometimes, he still wants he would still in Nest forever, specially at some nights, when the PTSD strikes hard, and he gets into the night, alone, crying in fetal stance remembering his dead friends and all he did in the past.

Joshua McDaggert

Talismã (a recuperar)

A Pena do Escritor

  • Escolha uma Perícia das seguintes: Comunicação, Conhecimento, Vontade e Enganar. Você pode usar essa perícia para realizar Ataques Mentais;
  • Se você já descobriu ou criou algum Aspecto em um alvo (mesmo que seja um Impulso), você pode fazer com que Ataques Mentais provoquem Estresse Físico e vice-versa. Entretanto, o alvo Defende-se normalmente: se você realizou um Ataque Mental e deseja provocar um Estrese Físico, o alvo ainda assim irá se Defender com Vontade. O mesmo vale no caso de um Ataque Físico que vá provocar Estresse Mental: ele ainda Defende-se com Vigor ou Atletismo;

This character follow the Character Creation rules from Fate Core, including the specific things from Nest.

Sometimes, dreamy boys are lost for the world when put into drugs like Ritalin and so on. Joshua, fortunately, had not this destiny: a knack for writing and reading, developed very early in the past, had turned him into a master of the words, either in real world, where he was at least 3 years forward all people in English, and into Nest, when he became the Bard of all Bards, Singer of all songs, travelling from a kingdom to another, learning about the events and stories of all the Heroes from Nest, until he all learned about all things he could before “growing up”.

A sense of prestige came with him: he started to write some lyrics that helped him cash some money to go for a good school, where he get a Major into English, with minors in areas like Linguistics, Philosophy, Classic Literature and Myths. He turned into a very good literary critic, mantaining a If you can’t say anything helpful, say nothing method that was turned into his trademark. At the same time, he started himself to publish some stories that (he don’t know at this time) are inspired into his time in Nest. Those histories still had not earned him the position of the new Mark Twain or J.K.Rowling, but he is doing well, and profit enough to live a somewhat well-estabilished live.

However, somehow, in the corner of his conscious mind, he know Nest is real, and for some reason he hopes for another time there in the deep of his heart.

Stunts (not at start)

  • The Power of Stories: Like I’ve read about this!, from Fate Core

Talisman (to be recovered)

The Writer’s Pen

An afillated Dove Pen with a sharp point, this is The Pen that hurts more than a Sword because this can be used to do powerful magic with words. The Power of the Words is strong for those who use this, as long as he knows how to. However, it is as dangerous as it’s powerful: writing the wrong words with this Pen is the way for Catastrophe!

  • While using this pen, choose one of the folllowing Skills: Lore, Rapport, Deceive or Will. You can use this to do Mental Attacks;
  • If you had already discovered or put an Aspect (even a Boost) into a target before, you can make a Mental Attack provoke Physical Stress and vice-versa. However, the target Defends as normally: if you’re doing a Mental attack that will be turned physical, he will stay Defend with Will. The same for a physical attack that will provoke Mental Damage: he’ll Defend with Physique or Athletics;
